Check Out Ares Destiny
Free software is good. Filesharing software is good. Free filesharing software is very good.
This is how I started my review of the Ares Destiny, the free filesharing software available for download now. Except that the old adage that “there is no such thing as a free lunch” stood tragically true. Read more Ares Destiny’s one major failure later.
So it all started well. And indeed the download and installation process was as slick as could be expected; really Ares Destiny makes no fuss at all as it installs on your system. Once installed you will quickly by downloading your favorite songs from people around the world. No fuss, no problems.
Except that there is a problem. A big one. Ares Destiny covers its costs by packaging with the Dealio “shopping comparison” toolbar. This toolbar is billed as a useful tool but many reports – including those from major online security sources – refer to it as spyware or adware. Dealio is known to be intrusive, it pops up ads that you don’t want to see, and it is difficult to remove from the system.
This unwelcome addition is an unwelcome inclusion to the package, and one the other many good points of the software cannot mask. Steer well clear.
