Salvia is the latest substance to find itself in the US legislator’s limelight: while the substance is very much alive and legal in many US states it is increasingly becoming the poster-child the youth drug culture. Whether it deserves this epitaph or not is a completely different matter.

Rick Doblin of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies is among those that reckon the authorities’ reaction to Salvia is over the top. It is not, he states, a “party drug”. Doblin goes on to state that it tastes terrible and is never going to be terribly popular.

Salvia’s popularity, though, is not in dispute. The numbers of punters ordering Salvia over the Internet are growing at an astonishing rate, with websites like salviadragon.com set up purposefully to service this growing market. Part of the reason for the popularity is likely the largely legal status it enjoys unlike other hallucinogens like LCD and PCP.

The so called Law of Attraction is a theory – put into practice by many – that allows us to change the way things happen around us just by changing the way we think about them. This concept might be a little difficult for some to swallow so practitioners have been able to put together some movies explaining the process: The Awakening and The Secret.

The Awakening refers to the process whereby we discover our own awakening; that moment when everything seems to fall into place and we have a slightly higher understanding of ourselves and of the world. The movie itself is only 48 minutes long and can easily be digested and understood in a single sitting.

The Awakening DVD movie could be considered an offshoot to the movie The Secret which is a comparatively high budget production with no less that 24 practitioners explaining the details of the Law of Attraction.

Both movies are well worth watching, especially for the skeptics among us.

Chapter 11 of Think and Grow Rich is entitled “The Mystery of Sex Transmutation: The Tenth Step Towards Riches.” This is the chapter that hooked me for the rest of the book, and it is definitely worth more than a cursory glance.

Reading Think and Grow Rich surprised me a lot. Firstly it was a really well written self-improvement book that kept me hooked to the end, and secondly what truly amazed me the most was the realization of just how far I had come on my journey of personal growth and wealth creation.

The book was an interesting reminder of the simple thinks we can do to Think and Grow Rich.

It is important to treat your home business just like any other business. Investments need to be made and, while you need to be careful that your investment gets you and your home business the best value for money, you should not be afraid to spend a more to get more.

A home business that involves a lot of talking or listening on the telephone will immediately recognize the benefits of a high quality telephone, perhaps with a wireless headset if you can see the benefit of moving around the room while you are talking.

Almost everyone needs a computer if their home business is to compete, and losing a day or too due to an inadequate component failing can be a particularly distressing nightmare. Filesharing programs are much of a muchness, right? That’s what I thought until I fired up Ares Ultimate the other day.

Ares Ultimate is aptly named – and I really am not being facetious here, the app is that good – and deserves its place at the top of the filesharing tree. Why do I like it so much? Because it does absolutely everything I want it to, no more and no less. This is a refreshing change from programs that are either much too complex or far too simplistic (both have their place in the food chain, I guess with the former being fine for experts (of which I certainly am not) and the latter being perfect for filesharing newbies (again, I don’t think that I’m in that category)).

The uncluttered and logical interface were my first signs that everything was going to be okay. Then it worked with Vista’s increased security, which was nice. I had no problems with my firewall or virus checker. Finally, and most importantly, Ares Ultimate plays nicely with AOL, my favorite ISP.

So there I was, from no software to downloading in less than 10 minutes. I honestly never thought that it would be so easy until I found Ares Ultimate.

Ares was a rather violent Greek God of war. Ares is a popular P2P filesharing system. Ares is a rocket designed by NASA that will, hopefully, be released in 2019.

Which of the above statements is true? All of them!

Ares the Greek god of war – one of a number of Greek Gods of war – was renowned for being particularly nasty, particularly bloodthirsty, and very, very loathsome. Even the other Gods didn’t like him and they were usually pretty, ahem, open minded.

NASA liked the name Ares and used it to christen one of their rockets. Perhaps they were planning to scare the living daylights out of any Martians that they came across? Unlikely unless the Martians were on the moon at the same time as the Ares rocket, because that is where it is headed.

The popular filesharing system Ares is perhaps the most commonly used of all three meanings. Not only is Ares popular, it is very good at its job.

Long live Ares, in all its forms!

No matter which venture you join up with or which business opportunity you decide to take advantage of, one fact always remains constant: successful home businesses require hard work. It also requires commitment, persistence, passion, and a little bit of luck. Many of these latter requirements fall out of hard work, though (”The harder I work, the luckier I get”), and if you are able to work on your business you will have solved 80% of your problems before you begin.

So it is with direct marketing businesses like those offered by Liberty League International; unfortunately many people seem to be of the opinion that opportunities like these are somehow ‘easier’ than those offered by traditional businesses. This is not true. It is these people that have populated a good proportion of the Internet with bad stories about Liberty League International (indeed if searching the Internet one would easily come to believe it is a scam). Of course many of the detractors are also competitors.

I downloaded the latest version of Ares Vista the other day. I wasn’t really expecting a great deal from it but I was hoping that it would do what it is supposed to do with my Windows Vista security. Even since Windows increased the security settings in the latest version of their OS I have had intermittent trouble with getting my older filesharing software up and running.

Fortunately it all seems to be working just fine. Three days solid now and I’ve not had a single warning. Ares Vista really does seem to play nice with the other children.

And on top of that it seems to excel my older software in many areas. Firstly the whole thing loads up really well meaning that I can click on it and be downloading my favorite rap music in very little time. Secondly it looks better and while this doesn’t have any effect on my productivity when using it, it sure as hell looks a lot nicer.

Thirdly it works with AOL. This was the main reason I chose my last version of the software: so many other versions simply fell at this hurdle while Ares Vista soars over it. I would definitely recommend Ares Vista.
